About me
I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) Center at Brown University. I study political violence and democracy, with a particular emphasis on citizen-state relations.
My dissertation book project examines how the local presence of criminal groups affects whether and how citizens interact with the state through a mixed-methods study of municipalities across Mexico.
I earned my PhD from the Government Department at Harvard in 2023. My research has been supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF GRFP), U.S. Institute of Peace, Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies, and Institute for Quantitative Social Science at Harvard.
